rugby vs homecoming

Noah had a rugby tournament in Utah the day of the Highland homecoming

dance, Noah and Coleson (a teammate) were the only ones that needed to

be back for the dance, well...we had a plan to leave and get the kids home

for the dance, however, the team kept winning, and we had only the max of

players because of injuries.......the kids had to call their dates twice and post pone

when they would be home.  The second the game was over we were in the van

and headed home......We made it, JoLynn drove as fast as she could to get

the kids home...Thanks for the girls patience!!

Payton loves Band

Payton did a great job in band this year.....He was chosen the most band spirit.  He got a certificate for being so enthusiastic.  He was really suprised!!! Great Job Payton!!!!

Payton-Band Concert

Payton playing for the family concert at Hawthorne Middle School.   They did an opening number with the percussion group, they played it on the bottom of buckets!!!  It was amazing!!!!  Great Job Payton, we are proud of you!!!

Payton-Student of the Month

Payton was the student of the trimester.  He was excited to be chosen.  He is doing well in school.  He is looking forward to Spring Break and then SUMMER!!!  Great job Payton, we are proud of you.  We love you!!!

Payton-end of school year

Payton has made it through his first year of middle school.  We are glad that 6th grade is over.  He has had his struggles with school.  But we have tackled them and he has done well.  He got an award for "outstanding Read 180".  He has improved alot since he got started in the program.  He did not want to do any sports this year, not sure if he ever will.  He did band, and he did well with the percussion section.  He was not a fan of PE.  But he did great! 

Noah-end of school year

Noah has made it through middle school.  He had a awesome 8th grade year.  He can reflect back on all the things that have happened over the years, he got to experience alot.  He was nominated for People to People Ambassador Leadership, got to go to Washington DC in Feb. for a week and learn leadership skills, he did awesome in wrestling, improved alot over the past year, he took 2nd in city.  He took 8th place in city math counts competition, and he took 9th in state math counts competition.  His science team took 2nd at the Science Olympaid.  He got to go on the American Heritage Tour for 10 days.  He got an award for "outstanding Match student of the year".  He did hurdles in track, ran the 100 meter and the 200 meter.  He did running events for the first time, he did good for just starting out.   He also finished Drivers Training.  He is now driving with us for the next months before he gets his lisence.  He is doing awesome, we are so proud of him. 

Noah-Science Olympiad

Noah competed in the Sceince Olympiad at ISU. He was in two events. Noah and his team mate were in the Write it Build it, they did not place in that event, Keep the heat they placed 2nd, and over all his team took 2nd. It was very exciting! Way to go Noah!!!!

Noah-State Math Counts Competition

Noah took 9th in the regionals which means he qualified for state competition. He was cramming at the last minute before it was to start. He went into a room and have 50 minutes in the Sprint round, then had a break, then went into a room for 30 minutes for the Target round, then he went into a room and paired up with 3 other people for the Team round, then we went to lunch, and upon returning you found out if you made it in the top 10. Noah made it to the top 10 it was very intense. Noah placed 8th at state. We are so proud of him. He did awesome!

Noah, Ambassador Leadership

Noah went to Washington DC for the People to People Ambassador Leadership program. He was gone for 5 days. He had a great time and learned alot. He was chosed to lay the wreath at the WWII memorial. This picture is of him before he went to place it. What a honor it was for him. He was one tired kid when he got home. they had to get up at 6 (which was 4 our time) every day, but he said it was worth it and what a great experience.

Noah- Math Counts

Noah was in the Math Counts Competition today at ISU. He did awesome! He took 9th place and got a trophy and he is going to state in Boise. Also he got a $500.00 scholarship to ISU Engineering! He is the only one from his school that is going!!! He is super pumped!!! We are so proud of him!!! Great job Noah!!!

Noah-6th place

Noah was in a math counts competition today, he took 6th place out of 60 students. He has a state wide competition in February! We are so proud of him.

Boys certificates

The boys came home with each a certificate today, Payton for a 3.49 and Noah for a 4.0 GPA!!! They are such goof balls! I can never get them serious for pictures!

Payton's Winter Band Concert

He is so cute!!! He did a awesome job on the bells and drum at the concert. Got to love the smirk on his face!!!! That's Payton, always smiling!!
