Willy-transfer day!!!

Willy is being transferred.  He is getting a new companion.  They both entered the MTC on the same day, but were in different districts.  He is from Arizona.  Willy is excited for the change and the new area.  The new area is in need of help and hopefully him and his companion can be the ones to help out the membership in that area.  Willy is doing great, he was very upbeat and happy with what is going on.  He is very sad to leave the members and the friends that he has become close with.  Change is hard for Willy but he his doing better with it, a great positive attitude helps.  Keep up the good work.  We love you tons!!

Let's go riding!!!

We were able to go riding in between rain storms, and snow storms.  There were 9 of us that went on a fun ride, however, me and Diane turned around and the men went on for a further ride.  It was really fun and we all had a great time.  Beautiful country, and so green!!  But it was COLD!

Umbrella shelter

One of the best things about camping is the campfire.  The weather did not allow us to enjoy the fire like we like, so Rhubin found a umbrella that we could stand under and enjoy the fire without getting wet.  It worked great, we just had to keep moving, because the smoke was awful!!!

Memorial Day Fun

This year we went to Lava Hot Springs for the Memorial day weekend.  We had lots of friends and family show up to camp and enjoy the fun!!!  We had about 30 people at the camp.  We had good times.  However, the weather did not cooperate as well as it should have.  We had lots of rain, hail, rain, sleet, rain and lots of snow.  We got wet, and cold and muddy!  My sister in law finally said lets put zip loc bags on the kids feet and then they could still wear their shoes but then their feet would not get wet.  It worked great!!! We had a good time, but we did leave earlier than expected, we had all had it with the weather!

Redneck Stairs

We got our camper set up and the stairs were not working so well, even with a milk crate to help get us in the camper, so Rhubin came up with our new stairs!!!! It worked great, however we ended up moving the camper so that we did not have to use the ladder.

Payton-end of school year

Payton has made it through his first year of middle school.  We are glad that 6th grade is over.  He has had his struggles with school.  But we have tackled them and he has done well.  He got an award for "outstanding Read 180".  He has improved alot since he got started in the program.  He did not want to do any sports this year, not sure if he ever will.  He did band, and he did well with the percussion section.  He was not a fan of PE.  But he did great!

Willy-Update

Willy is doing well.  He did not have lots to write about because we had just talked.  He said that his companion has been ill and that he has had to stay at the house and study and helped the members that live upstairs.  He loved talking to everyone.  He also wanted us to know how much he loved us.  I loved the letter that I received when I got home from work, it has a Mothers book mark in it.  Made this mamma cry!!!  He touched my heart deeply with the things that were said.  Keep up the good work Elder Thomas.  You have a proud family back home!!!

Willy-Mother's Day Call

AMAZING!!!!!We sure did love talking to Willy!  He is doing awesome.  He sounded great!!!  We had trouble getting our calling card from Christmas to go through....only to find out it had expired, so we just did a cell phone call on speaker.  I am sure it will cost us alittle bit, but it was well worth it!!!  He had good stories to tell and how things are going there.  He says he loves it there!  I have to say it was very emotional on me to say good bye.  I wanted to just keep on talking.  I know that he  where he is suppose to be.  We are so proud of him.  Loved hearing his voice!!!!  Just what I needed.

Willy-Update

Willy is doing great!!!  He passed on the information for the famous "mothers day" call.  We will get to talk to him at 1 pm on Sunday. He said that he was able to get Tyson's name on the Cardston Temple prayer list.  He has been doing some teaching and had a couple of people.  Things are going well.  He wishes things would happen, but knows that the Lord has everything in his hands and things are going the way they are suppose.  So excited to hear my sons voice!!! Love ya Elder Thomas

Learning Bike Language!

Since we have got a motorcycle, there is a whole new world to learn.  There is certain clothes you are suppose to where (at which we are not going to be wearing) there is a wave you give to other bikes passing by, there are codes to give each other when getting on and off the bike!  We need to get boots for riding, but that is going to wait as well.   I have to say we thought it would be fun to have it and enjoy country rides and enjoys nature, we did not know we were going to be in and "elite" group of people.  We are sure loving it though!!!
