Noah, Ambassador Leadership

Noah went to Washington DC for the People to People Ambassador Leadership program. He was gone for 5 days. He had a great time and learned alot. He was chosed to lay the wreath at the WWII memorial. This picture is of him before he went to place it. What a honor it was for him. He was one tired kid when he got home. they had to get up at 6 (which was 4 our time) every day, but he said it was worth it and what a great experience.

Willy-update

Willy is doing great! Yesterday was a holiday in Canada (Family Day) so we did not get a email until today! He says that teaching and appointments are slow. He said there are so many houses. I think where he came from before was way spread out and open, and this place there is alot more things all around. He was glad that we liked the box and enjoyed the gifts. Keep up the good work son!!! We love you!

Crash saga continues!!!

Well, seems my little curb hugging experience is not going to turn out really good! WE ended up having to turn it into the insurance company to have the van fixed. There was more damage from the impact that makes the van not safe to drive. So it is currently at the mechanic and once the insurance adjuster and the mechanic get things done, I will have my van back. I am just shocked at what happened. Just goes to show a little impact can do lots of damage. Thanks for keeping us all safe!!!

Willy-update

Awesome letter today, (and we got a package). Willy is doing awesome. He is learning and growing. He had very nice spiritual things to say and how he is learning and growing. He is glad that he is doing what he is doing. He loves the people that he works with and enjoys the area. We received a package from him. Which totally made my day! He sent me some Canada gloves, and Noah and Payton each a shirt. He made a oil vile for Rhubin out of a bullett!!! Very cool! I also received his memory card from his camera! I love seeing pictures of him! I have looked at them over and over.....however it makes me emotional I am very happy to see how he is doing! So proud of him and his decision to go on a mission. Love ya son!!!

No more crashes!!!

I am still driving on a donut!!! WE had to order a rim for the van, which we finally got Friday. The tire store did not order our warranty tire, so it will be here Monday! I am hoping by tomorrow night, I am driving normal! Do you know how much fun it is to drive with a donut?
As I look at this experience, PATIENCE comes to mind! Got to love life the punches it throws!
It will be a better week!!!

Willy-update

Willy is doing great! He is feeling more comfortable in the new area he is in. He sometimes has to remind himself why he is there and what he is doing. He said that he continues to do the best he can and to learn the things that he needs to. He always questions whether he knows everything he is suppose to. We remind him he will learn as he goes and that the Lord will help and protect him. He is using his positive attitude to get through the tougher times! Keep up the good work son!

Silent Angels among us!!!

Today after church we received a envelope that said on the front of it: "JoLynn and Rhubin Thomas for Willy", inside that envelope was money to put towards his mission. It brought tears to my eyes that someone would do that. I am greatful for the love and support for Willy as he is on a mission. It is a struggle and sometimes we do not understand. Thank You, Thank You for your help with Willy's mission. My heart is full of some much emotion, we are truly blessed.

CRASH COURSE!!!

Ever since I went back to work from being sick, I have struggled. My immune system is just not the same. I catch anything that walks through the door. I have been on several bouts of antibiotics. However today, was not a good day. I had the worst night sleep, my throat hurt so bad I could not swallow. I had Rhubin look at my throat this morning---he said it looked bad. So after dropping Payton off at merit badge clinic, I went to the doctor. Well, I am positive for strep and my tonsils are like softballs rubbing against each other. Guess what, another prescription for antibiotics. They also gave me a shot in the behind and said this may make you gittery you may want to head home. I went to the pharmacy to get my antibiotic and steroid prescription filled, I headed home and guess what----I hit the curb 2 miles from home. I cracked the rim and blew my tire!!! I am not sure how it all happened, but it did! I called Rhubin to rescue me. I am so glad I am going to see the specialist on the 21st. I sure hope they can help me out. I am working on some probiotics to help me get to feeling better. Prayers would be great!!!! Thanks!!! It is always great to look and laugh at situations....this is one....I have cried alot!!!!
