This area has a few more stores than the last area, he said there is a Walmart, McDonalds and the biggest Pro Bass shop. He was excited. He is getting his mail weekly now instead of every 3 weeks! He was excited about that. He is doing well and said to always remember, I love letters and always pray for me! Keep up the good work! We love ya tons!

Willy-first transfer

Willy has officially been transferred. Today we had a short letter. He went to the temple as a zone and that he was being transferred to the Calgary North Mission and is in the town of Airdrie. He has a new companion also. That is pretty much all that we got this week. He was sad to leave the area he was in and his companion, which he has only been with a short time. I guess it is time for a change. Hopefully we will get more than two sentences next week!!!

Gratitude!

Wow what a crazy week we have had. We have so many things to be grateful for. My van has not had heat or a blower in the front for about 18 months, I finally decided to see if we could fix the problem ourself. Me and Rhubin went and the piece was $15 and it took Rhubin less than 3 minutes to fix. I am loving the warm and the no scrapping of the windows three times before getting to work. Our stove door has been broken for about 2 years, it works great just takes alittle longer to cook, a neighbor down the road called and said hey we are redoing our kitchen and we wanted to know if you would like our stove. Heck yes! We have it and it wonderful. I can cook casseroles for regular times now. Love it! We were not able to go and get wood to get us through the winter. Thank goodness the winter has been mild and we have not had to build fires, because our wood was limited. We had neighbor that had a bunch of wood that asked us if we could use......we got it cut up and most of it stacked, still have a good size pile to stack. We are so blessed with people that are in tune with our needs. Thanks for everyone looking out for us.

Willy-UPDATE

Willy is doing great! He is learning and growing more each day. When we hear from him each week, you can tell he is doing amazing!. There are transfers next week, he thinks that he may be transferred. He loves the people and the area he has been in. He will be sad to leave them. He did say this week that he was helping on a Llama farm and he skinned both his knees and tore his pants up. He said that he is healing up well. He appreciates all the letters and prayers on his behalf. What a great missionary! Love ya tons Son!

Elder Thomas update

What a great letter we had this week. It was amazing. It is funny how one week you worry about him struggling and then the next week he is doing fabulous and positive. He shared with us how he talked to someone that had been through some tough times and Willy could relate to how he was feeling and the conversation helped him remember who he is and where he came from. How is past has helped him grow. What a great kid he is! We sure do love him!

Rhubin-a drill out of control!

Today Rhubin was called out to a side job to help get some power restored. he was working on the panel and his drill flipped around and nailed his left pinky finger. He is not sure if it was the drill bit or a piece of metal that cut him. It was a bleeder!!! He nailed it to the knuckle. He had a good flap of skin hanging on. Funny thing, we go to the doctor, the same one that stiched Payton up 5 days ago. He wanted to know if he was stripping wire too, Rhubin said no, I was using a power drill! Rhubin's wound was alot worse that Payton. So in the first week of the year, we have been to the doctor twice for stitches!!!

Willy Update

Well today we got a email from Willy. This was the first letter since we got to talk to him on Christmas day! That was a long time for this mom to go with out a letter. I live for my emails! There were holidays and so they were not able to write until now. He is feeling alittle homesick after talking to family. He misses us lots. He said he was struggling alittle but he was being positive. He will survive, just tough from time to time. He loves what he is doing and has talked to a man that was going through a tough time and Willy was able to talk to him and both of them came out of the discussion feeling better. The Lord will take care of him and help him through the tough times.

Payton-a trip to the doctor

Payton has been helping Rhubin strip wire to take to the recycling plant. He has stripped about 43 pounds. (you get a $1 more a pound if it is stripped) Well Monday night, Payton was stripping the wire and Mom was cooking dinner, all of a sudden, Mom heard a scream and went to see Payton pinching his leg with blood coming out. He was using a razor knife and his hand slipped and he cut his left thigh open. We rushed to the doctor and got his stitched up. He had to have two layers of stitches. He did a nice clean straight cut. He is bruised but he should have a good recovery!
